Council Compliance
Every construction project involving earthworks in New Zealand requires Erosion and Sediment Control measures as a condition of resource consent. Failure to install, maintain, or document these controls correctly can result in enforcement action, fines, work stoppages, and costly remediation. ESCS exists to make this side of your project straightforward. We don't just install — we understand the regulatory environment and ensure your site is set up to pass inspection from day one.

What We Provide For Compiance Remediation

Pre-Installation Consultation
Before installation begins, we review your consent conditions and ESC management plan to ensure the controls we install match exactly what council requires — nothing more, nothing less.

Compliant Installation
All ESCS installations meet or exceed the technical standards specified in your consent conditions. We follow Auckland Council's Erosion and Sediment Control Guide, and equivalent regional council standards, as baseline installation references.

As-Built Documentation
We provide as-built records of ESC installations including photos, dimensions, and locations — formatted for direct submission to your council or principal contractor

Ongoing Maintenance Support
ESC controls must be maintained throughout the construction period. We offer scheduled maintenance visits and rapid-response repairs after weather events to ensure your site stays compliant between inspections.
Compliance FAQ's
-
What ESC documentation does Auckland Council require?
Auckland Council typically requires an approved ESC Management Plan prior to earthworks, installation of controls per that plan before work commences, regular inspection and maintenance records, and as-built confirmation of installed controls.
ESCS can support all of these requirements.

What happens if my site fails a council inspection?
We offer rapid-response services to address non-compliance issues before they escalate. Contact us immediately if you receive a notice or your site fails inspection — we'll assess and remediate as quickly as possible.

Can you help with my ESC Management Plan?
We don't prepare ESC Management Plans (that's the role of your engineer or environmental consultant), but we work closely with plan preparers to ensure what's specified is practical and installable within your project timeline.
